Copyright is a big issue... many people just google, copy and then paste (some who are unable to do this as some sites prevent you just print screen - I have seen students do this and even teach me how... ha ha). All images etc must be referenced and acknowledged.
Copyright is a serious issue... in class if students are asked to locate an image maybe recommened sites or search engines to use. Flickr clearly shows what can and cannot be used.
Optional Challenge
I uploaded the following photos to Flickr. My partner Tim is a Combat Engineer with the Australian Army and recently returned back from the Pacific Partnership 2010 Tour of Vietnam and Cambodia.

ReplyDeleteAgree about Flickr. Unless you've taken subject specific photos, I wouldn't recommend uploading photos to use in the classroom. However, as a photo library resource centre, it is fantastic as you can get photos from all over the world - your two photos being perfect examples.
